For the last three and a half years the small town of Independence, Mo has been home to a four piece alternative rock/screamo band named A Dead Giveaway. Driven by a pure passion for music this four piece band has made waves in the music scene around the Kansas city area. Just recently being chosen as one of four finalist to compete for an opening spot on this years Taste of Chaos tour, its easy to see that A Dead Giveaway has become one of the heavy hitters around the Midwest. Yet the truly unique thing about A Dead Giveaway is the fact that no Member in the band is over the age of 19. starting when lead vocalist Jesse Collins was at the ripe age of fourteen A Dead Giveaway has not only grown in age, but also in the quality of music that they produce. Having recorded three EPs so far, the next step for this up and coming artist is to branch out to neighboring cities and states to spread the word about their music. So far playing in surrounding states Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska A Dead Giveaway already has many summer road trips booked, and plans on reaching as far as humanly possible before the end of 2006.
A Dead Giveaways History together started as a cover band in the basement of Brandon Woodalls Kansas city Duplex in the winter of 2001. After many member changes and a spur of the moment name change A Dead giveaway settled into its new skin. Now with a new line up featuring Bass player Cory Tittle, Lead vocalist and Guitarist Jesse Collins, Guitarist Bryce Veazey, And Drummer Brandon Woodall A Dead Giveaway was finally ready to start writing music from their heart; and thats exactly what happened. Faced with the problem of being so young, for the first years of A Dead giveaway existence many problems arouse with 18 and older type venues. It was very difficult to gain the respect of older audiences for such a young band, but that was not enough to stop such a determined group of music lovers. Pushing through this problem A Dead Giveaway eventually became one of the more notable acts around Kansas city. With an ever widening fan base A Dead Giveaway is currently gearing up to record another EP and play a non stop summer schedule. Look for A Dead Giveaway to be making a stop in a city near you in the very close future.

hey cory, its amanda. i was just gonna say my bands
purevolume is up although our recorded song isnt the
best, and its only acoustic. but hopefully we can buy
some studio time somewhere. but the nad name is crossed
