So how exactly does the iPhone 4S Compare With the Samsung Galaxy S2

Now, this really depends upon individuality. The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a much larger screen at 4.3 inches compared to the iPhone 4S's which is 3.5 inches. However, the Galaxy S2 is a lot thinner at 8.49mm, whereas the iPhone 4S is chunkier. Generally speaking, the Samsung is a much larger phone, that is great when it comes to screen quality, but the iPhone does feel better in the users hand of the hand. Whilst the design really is a matter of taste, it's difficult to appear beyond the sleekness from the iPhone 4S.

As stated, both phones have different sized screens, but exactly how performs this modify the display of either? Well, the iPhone 4S has retina display, a 640x960 pixel resolution with a pixel density of 330ppi. That one is actually likely to set the cat between the pigeons. It really boils down to whether you're a fan of the iPhone's iOS or Samsungs Android system. When the Galaxy S2 was initially released it used Android's 2.3 Gingerbread operating-system; it lacked a great deal in terms of browser functionality, and generally looked outdated. It didn't rival the iOS5 which is a much more fluid and creates a great integrated experience.

However, now you can get the Galaxy S2 with Android's latest 4.0 Frozen treats Sandwich operating-system that has huge changes to the interface, messaging, Internet browser and much more. As mentioned, it boils down to that which you prefer, and being the newest operating-system released, we feel it should obtain the nod.

Winner: Galaxy S2

Both of these phones have exceptional cameras. With 8 megapixels at 3264x2448 pixels and a video capture of 1080p, it's hard to split up each of them. When you consider the secondary cameras around the display side of the phone, then Galaxy win hands down. Their 2megapixel camera dwarfs the iPhone's VGA camera in this regard. However, these come into play too much, so we're calling it a draw here.

You'll have to pay a lot more for the iPhone 4S compared to Galaxy S2. The previous will set you back over £500 completely new, whilst the second can cost just below £400 unlocked. Both come with good contracts, but as iPhone is recognized as reasonably limited phone, you'll end up spending a great deal more on a monthly contract, unless you pay more for the phone of course. You can aquire a lot more for the money in the Galaxy S2, particularly if you are looking for a less expensive contract. Hands down they're the winner here.

Overall Winner
Well in line with the quantity of categories, you'd need to say that the Samsung S2 is the foremost phone. In the spirit of diplomacy, there's not enough categories to give the iPhone 4S a reasonable crack. In most cases there isn't much that separates the 2; unless of course you're on a budget, in which case you'll get more for your money with the Galaxy S2.
