ADAM HAMBRICK

Rock / Pop / Alternative

Adam Hambrick has been singing since before he could walk. He was raised in the
house of a Missionary Baptist pastor and grew up singing the old gospel hymns in
church with his family. Hambrick sang his first solo in church at age 3, and it
just went from there.

In high school, Adam carried this love of music with him and began playing the
guitar and writing his own music composing ridiculous sap-filled song after ridiculous
sap-filled song. After high school, Adam began to slowly find his groove as a
singer/songwriter gathering inspiration from memories of friends and scattered
experiences growing up in his hometown of Corinth, Mississippi. Coming to school
at the University of Central Arkansas was quite the jump, but it spurred him as a
songwriter and put him in a climate with other talented local musicians. In November 2004,
Adam played his first real show at Conway Arkansas Brewhaha coffee house. He recorded the
show and turned it into his first EP, Live From the Middle of Nowhere.

In April 2004, a chance meeting with Jon Love of Hitchhiker Entertainment would give
Adam a break into the local scene. Love booked Adam to open for Singleminded, a local
favorite, at Juanitas (a hot-spot for local talent and showcase for national acts).
This would generate buzz around the Little Rock scene and among UCA Students. After two
years of playing Little Rock, a Hambrick show at Juanitas is a hot ticket and almost sure
to be sold out.

Adam Hambrick has released 3 independent acoustic EPs. In 2004, he released
Live From the Middle of Nowhere, the afore mentioned recording of his first ever show.
In the Spring of 2005, he debuted his first studio effort with the self produced EP A
Fancy Word for Being Alone, a chronicle of botched relationships. In the Fall of 2005,
Adam put out his latest effort, a recording from the release show for the DIY Compilation
on which Adam was featured.

Things are looking up for Hambrick. In 2005, he made his first television appearance
on Good Morning Arkansas on KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock. In addition, Adam played
multiple shows with Roxie Recording artist Dan Dyer, performed with Memphis-based rockers
Lucero, and even shared the stage with classic rock icons The Guess Who. Also, as
previously stated, he was one of the featured artists on the inaugural volume of
Hitchhiker Entertainments DIY Compilation, a collection of tracks from some of
Arkansas best artists. Adams unique guitar riffs and thoughtful lyrics are what makes
his music not only listenable, but relevant and intriguing . His energy and his fresh
singer/songwriter approach are what brings people back to Little Rock every time he is
on the bill.
