ACOUSTIC WOUND

Acoustic / Experimental / Folk

6/26/08---Thanks to all the people that came out to the show and supported us on the 22nd. If you didn't show up, the show went really well. Voices were on tune, guitars were together, and we were rocking out. Hopefully more of you will come next time. I know I keep saying that I will be putting out more stuff soon, so I'm going to. Expect something very soon. Just chill with "Emily" and "Days" and the "Break of Day" until then. Rock & Roll.

6/14/08---Hey fans! New stuff will soon be recorded, but that's not the big news. Split Lace will be playing a show at the Dundee VFW along with some other bands on June 22nd. Check out our show dates for more information. Hope to see you all there!! And of course we will be playing at the next Second Sunday event on July 13th. Peace.

4/21/08---Me (Acoustic Wound) and my band (Split Lace) have been performing music and leading worship for a monthly event called "Second Sunday". What it is, is a gathering of youth (adults should not be afraid to attend) from around the area in local churches every second sunday of the month to worship God. Now this event is being announced over the Family Life Network (103.1 FM), giving it the chance to get "blown out of the water" so to speak. Check out the dates and times under the link "Shows". Arley and I would love to see you there. Everyone is invited. God bless.

4/13/08---Check out the new song that I recorded called "The Break of Day in F Major"! It basically rocks. There are no lyrics because it does not need any. It speaks for itself. To God be the glory. And yes, I played the piano. Peace.

3/16/08---Booya!! I finally have finished recording two of the eight or so tracks for the project! I re-recorded "Days" so that it sounds good and added an instrumental called "Emily". My thanks goes out to Arley Cornell for his awesome recording techniques and doing the harmony solo on the last chorus for "Emily". Enjoy the new songs and pictures!

3/4/08---I have just finished writing three different instrumental, acoustic songs!! I will be working extensively in the studio on 3/9, so expect one, if not two new songs to be added very, very soon. Also, I will be re-recording "Days" to make it more 'fluent'. If you noticed, it had quite a bit of background noise that we artists despise. Keep an eye out!

2/6/08---Keep an eye out for a few songs that have been waiting to be recorded for a long time. These songs include a hymn that I wrote and a couple other acoustic works of mine. I'm looking forward to getting these songs out there. I'll keep you posted!

1/28/08---The acoustic/ folk soloist Micah Armstrong from Split Lace debuts with the EP entitled "Days". The EP will be released in the near future. For the time being, enjoy the first track recorded for the project!

Micah, my brother. Thank you for sharing this song with
others. It indeed ministered to me very deeply. A song
hasn\'t ministered to me this much in a long time. I
can only describe it as how Dr. Case describes the
collision of art and theology. It was like a chicken
bone caught in the throat, eye-widening, gut tingling
experience. It touched every aspect of my current
struggles and my sin nature. You are so blessed to be
this talented. Never forget that. Te amo mi
hermano. To God be ALL the glory. PS~I really enjoy
the name Acoustic Wound...brilliant.
