A City Invisible is an alternative/indie rock band from New York City formed in 2005 by guitarists Jim and Greg. After knowing each other for a few years, they teamed up musically only after their prior endeavors fell through--situations that, while they originally seemed desperate, only ended up for the best. Guy joined the original lineup on vocals, and the band decided on the name A City Invisible, which is a partial line from a Walt Whitman poem. Unfortunately, Guy left the band shortly after joining and the search for a new singer lasted for over a year. During this period, the band went through several different members.

In October 2006 the band fell apart, but Jim and Greg continued to search for members, knowing that they were on to something, and that a few pitfalls along the way werent enough to make them resign their efforts. Tryouts began for a new drummer, bassist, and vocalist. Guy decided to give the band another try and signed on as vocalist, while friend Benny became the new bassist. Benny was, however, willing and able to play more than the bass, which allowed the band some leeway in finding a new member. After playing bass in A City Invisible for a couple of months, Benny believed it would be easier to find a bass player and agreed to become the drummer. After befriending Guy at a Story of the Year concert, John heard about the opening in the band, auditioned, and became the new bassist. John had played guitar previously but decided to switch to bass so he could join A City Invisible.

The newly formed A.C.I. was only together about 2 months when they played their first show at Porky's in New York City on April 24th 2007. Their second show at Dock Street Bar and Grill in Staten Island was a great success and the band was energized by the terrific reaction they received from the crowd. They wasted no time in recording their first EP soon after their second show. The band continues to grow in popularity and take on more exciting projects.
