Great new band from san Francisco, Usa with former member of the punk rock band fairlanes.
Drawing from such diverse influences as New Amsterdams , Kid Loco, Late 60's Beach Boys, Tarmac, Louise Attaque, and Elliot Smith, the Absinthe Glow manage to produce a unique sound of their own. Catchy, low key melodies, rooted in acoustic guitar with spaced out production layered on top make the record difficult to pin down a genre. The record is definitely not something to be listened to all times of the day. According to Bill "it is the type of record that you would put on at 2:30AM , when you are winding down with one last cocktail , and you're too tired to talk, but not ready to surrender. " While some bands have a target audience, the Absinthe Glow have a target mood.
