A Breath Beyond Broken was an idea fueled by a desire to do something creative and original. With the end of two smaller local bands, A Breath Beyond Broken hit the ground running. In late 2006 the band started writing their first material which took influences from many different genres of music and involved a wide range of lyrical focus varying from literal references to personal experience. In a mere four months the band independently put out its first release "This is the Accident". Each song on the EP varied in style and showed AB3s love for diversity and experimentation. Following the release AB3 played numerous shows around the New England area, leaving a mark wherever they performed. Stay tuned.

Hey guys, what's going on? We just put up our 2 new songs, "Against the World" and "Tabit Ruined my Life" on the Purevolume, so make sure to check those bad boys out! But the reason for this blog is to formally announce our two week summer tour: THE QUEST. It's going to be epic, so make sure to check out the SHOWS section of the Purevolume to see if we're coming to a city near you! You can also check our myspace for more frequent tour updates, like if we add a new show or if one gets canceled. Till then, stay tuned!!!

Hi guys, what's up? Here's an update on what's been going on since the last blog update, because I NEVER update this myspace...
Well for starters, our old guitarist Marc left the band to pursue other musical interests and after that, we welcomed Tom back into the band with new singer Dante. However, after a good amount of manipulation and false piety, Tom took our drummer and new singer with him and left Ryan, Tyler and I alone. However, we got right on the ball and found our new drummer Seamus, and now we're currently searching for a new guitarist and a new singer. But our first show back is April 26th at the 119 Gallery with Atomic Ballroom Calamity and onlybloodwilltell, so be sure to check that out!
Oh yes, and we're also going on tour this summer! Well, it's not exactly a tour, it's better: It's the Quest. Mhm, we're going to be questing through the east coast for 2 weeks this summmer, so check that out!

Hi guys. Sorry we don't update the purevolume all that often, we just forget the password all the time. Anyways, If you don't know, our old singer/guitarist Tom left the band to pursue other musical interests, and we wish him the best. We've since picked up a new singer, Marc. If you want to hear Marc, head on over to our myspace(myspace.com/abreathbeyondbroken) and you can listen to our new song, "Most Bands Only Have 2 Guitarists," with his vocals on it. Anyways, purevolume is the spot to download (most) of our old EP! You can get 4 of the 5 songs for free on here, so make sure to do that and have AB3 on your ipod or other sweet mp3 playing device. But yeah, check the myspace for shows and stuff. Peace out.
