Raised in the San Francisco bay area, J began writing music alone at home in 2006. After several improvised ambient releases, he began to take the project in a new direction. Crafting otherwordly soundscapes, industrial rhythms, and fragile guitar orchestrations threaded together by his heartrenderingly personal lyrics, abrasions became a cohesive, indepedent medium of emotional exploration.
This coelesced into his cathartic, genre bending second album, Memorial, which was released on November 29th, 2009.
