A Blinding Silence formed in the summer of 2003 in Lancaster, CA. Theyre a family that has a dream, a philosophy, and a goal: love, beauty, music, and hope.
Their influences range from rock, to punk, to indie, to metal, to hardcore. As long as it is melodic, and as long as it is positive.
The band has been Buzzplays Artist of the Month twice and has been ranked as high as #2 on Purevolume's Unsigned Artist Chart (in the Alternative, Screamo, and Post Hardcore genres).
In 2005, a film crew set out to make a movie about the struggles a band goes through, the circumstances, and the temptations that are sometimes thrown in their paths. They wanted to use a group that was current, real, and significant. They felt that the boys had the music and the faith to carry the film. The entire band was cast in the lead roles and in February of 2006, A Blinding Silence finished filming their movie debut in the indie film Silent Cries.
In addition, shortly after the movie wrapped, the major motion video to their single Miseries and Miracles was shot.
Because of their wide appeal, A Blinding Silence is gaining fans and supporters on a worldwide level. They simply write songs that people fall in love with and lyrics that are inspiring and relevant. They are also in possession of one of the most energetic live shows around.
There are great things to come from this band.
