Members: Zachary Booher & Steven Rouk

While We're Up is the collaboration of Zachary Booher and Steven Rouk, based out of Tempe AZ, where they met at Arizona State University. Armed with acoustic guitars, chamomile tea, and a passion to sing, this duo is out to prove they won't stop until they've let their impression in the music scene, and in you.

"Music is all I know to do; it's how I think and deal with the world. I remember what bands like Brandnew and Underoath meant to me as I was growing up, and I want to be that band for someone. While music is my chosen medium, as an artist the core of what I'm all about is connecting with people on a real level. Music for music's sake is ok in the moment... but for life, music for bringing people together is where my heart is."

"Music: listening to the radio on your way to work, singing hymns in church, dancing at your wedding to your favorite love song, chanting 'red rover' on the playground, singing with your high school choir, dancing to music with your friends at a tailgate. Music alone has this power to be literally everywhere in our lives, to change us consciously and unconsciously, to build us up and tear us down, depress us and inspire us. As a person, I wish to help other people as much as I can, and give back with all my heart. As an artist, I strive to create something beautiful. As a musician I can do both, and create music that says, 'Let me show you a piece of my life in the hope that it will make yours better; go get your friends and sing along.'"
