Members: Doug Emerson, Jimmy Natividad, Kristyne Operzedek, & Mathew Stokes
Warhellride is a Chicago-based punk rock band. The trio formed in October 2009, when guitarist Jimmy Natividad and bassist Mathew Stokes, two former bandmates of now-defunct melodic pop punk band Capital Eye, decided to continue making music together and bring in their punk ethos to the forefront. Kristyne Operzedek, formerly of the indie rock band Sylis Assigned, is a gifted drummer with a unique style of her own completed the group. Then in June 2011, when good friend Doug Emerson's band Quite A Mob went their separate ways, Warhellride had the honor to have him join the band. With Doug's exceptional vocals and guitar styles and great dedication to music he rounds off the current line-up.
Straight to the point, Warhellride is not "Capital Eye II" or a "Sylis RE-Assigned." They combine earnestness with pop sensibilities, rounding it off with walls of rambunctious instrument volume and crafty drumming. They are a band that wants to re-ignite the "Pogo" and "Slam-Dance", while encouraging others to hug it out instead of moshing...
