Emerging from a scene littered with hardcore and metal, WESHOUTGOODNIGHT! has stepped up, bringing Pop-Punk to the forefront of Charlotte, NC. Originally an acoustic project including guitarists Virgil Maralit and Zack Deaton, WSG! has since emerged into the band it is today. With the additions of Chris Spach (Bass), Nick Helvey (Drums), and Sean Helman (Vocals) the band has taken its metal background and blurred it with the sounds of Powerpop. Having only been a band for less then a year and most members being between 18-22 years old, WSG! has managed to play almost 50 shows, win a countywide Battle of the Bands, and play with national acts including, Cartel, The Bigger Lights, Framing Hanley, and The Ataris. If thats not enough they embarked on a 3 week long east coast tour spanning from Michigan to Florida promoting their EP entitled "Lets Party!". As vocalist Sean Helman describes it, "We wanted this band to come out with a bang! Make even the metal scene raise their eyebrow and think about what they had just heard. I feel like we are doing that by taking pop-punk and adding a metal influence, instead of taking metal and adding a pop-punk influence.". WSG! is a band with 5 young members driven by the idea of making this band successful. From their sound, to their "swagger", and everything in between WSG! has made it clear they plan to show the world that they mean business.
