Jordan A. Blackburn, age 17
Born into a life of complications, it was only a matter of time before I started writing my own music. Lyrics based around memories, hopes, dreams, influential times and everyday thought began to appear in the blood of failing pens scratched against dollar store notebooks. My style has been shaped by many of my favourite writers whether they be novelists, lyricists or poets. I write music as an outlet to focus my energy and inspirations, to hide from the world and forget my problems. Even if it is those problems that I sing about.
If I could, I would thank Ben Gibbard for his words, Aaron Sprinkle for his melody and Kurt Vonnegut for his novels his point of veiw on life itself.
My current songs consist of low quality recording i have mixed and produced on my own in my bedroom with a couple microphones an amp and an 8 track mixer.
I'm working on 3 new recordings that have (in my opinion) over looked anything i have ever written and are really showing a progression in personal style.
