Tremaine Aldon Neverson (Trey Songz) grew up in Petersburg, Virginia. As a young boy, he didn't want a musical career because he was always shy stating, "Singing wasn't a reality for me, until other people started noticing I sounded good." As he matured he came to realize that he had an amazing talent. Troy Taylor recognized Trey Songz at a talent show in 2000 and landed him a recording contract in Atlanta Records. After graduating high school, he moved to New Jersey to begin his career as one of the sexiest and greastest R&B singers of this generation.(;
