The Wildflowerz, who made their debut in 2008 at a charity fundraiser, are a rock pop group from Inverness, Scotland. Originally formed as a studio project by Mark Allison, formerly of Rainland, The Wildflowerz evolved to become a full band, consisting of, Becky Mutch (lead vocals), Mark Allison (rhythm guitar/vocals), Dave Mackenzie (lead guitar/vocals), David MacIntosh (drums/vocals), and Joe MacRae (bass).
The band, initially focused on an acoustic style, and supported Nik Kershaw on the Scottish dates of his 2010 tour, and Eric Faulkner (of The Bay City Rollers), as well as playing acoustic shows throughout Scotland.
2012 sees the band switching back to an electric heavier rock sound, and working on new material with John Burgess at Bad Wulf Studio, Alness. A band produced CD , EP 2, was released in February 2012.
