The Thrown a four piece experimental/metal/grindcore/death metal group out of Cleveland, Ohio currently writing and recording material for the debut full length entitled “From The Pit, To The Palace” due out late spring/summer of 2012.

The Thrown is preparing the release of “From The Pit, To The Palace” 100% DIY style.

Drummer Mark Knerem and guitarist Dan Wakelee have been working together since the inception of The Thrown with the Ep’s “Burdens Of Truth” digitally released April 2008. Followed by “Beauty Just Died” July 2009, and “Chrysalis Catacombs “ February 2011.(available at http://thethrown.bandcamp.com/). Over the summer/fall of 2011 The Thrown added David Rockburn on bass and Mark Moats on vocals.

Each member has diverse musical backgrounds. Self taught students of music, constantly reaching for something new, original, humorous, mind opening chaotic, melodic music. A blend of metal and samples, odd and off the wall noises, keyboards, and your major bleeps and bloops, with screams of many to help create the horror stories being told.
