The Snails are a Blues/Ska/Punk influenced band from Lancaster Pennsylvania. The Snails consists of 4 members, a lead guitarist/lead vocalist, a rhythm guitarist/vocalist, a bassist, and a drummer. Some of their songs include harmonica, mandolin, organ and sometimes horns based on the show. But the standard is just the 2 guitars, bass and drums. The Snails came together to form a band in 2006. Since then, the drummer and rhythm guitarist has changed to the now permanent lineup, and the quality of sound and stage presence has just gotten better with every show. When asked what makes the Snails stand out from other bands, it's always that that they have an outstanding amount of energy every time they step on the stage and play every show like they are headlining a show at The Hammersmith Palais in the year 1977. Not only do they have amazing stage presence, but also talent. These four musicians have years of professional musical training under their belt, such as private instrument lessons, school marching and concert band, jazz band, and choir just to name some of their musical background. Having grown up in a small town, they have always had to work hard to gain exposure due to the lack of musical diversity found in their location. The Snails have invested money from their own pockets and spent hours on end making sure that the fans come first. With a mini winter tour about to take place and a summer east coast tour being planned out for summer 2010, the Snails are starting to get the exposure that they first dreamed about back when they began their musical journey in the 9th grade at their small conservative high school.
