Members: Matt Vantine, Matt Amadio
Vantine/Amadio emerged on the local music scene in 2004 under the name Still Motion, its core members being Matt Vantine and Matt Amadio. Despite local success (appearing on NBC 10's 10! Show, frequently gigging at popular venues, being the subject of radio and magazine interviews, and gathering a respectable following), Vantine and Amadio felt musically limited within the confines of a 4-man band, and have since sorted through various musicians, only to find that the gaps created by the absence of those musicians are best filled by themselves. Both Vantine and Amadio have gradually developed a knack for creating their own individual songs, which are then polished with vocal harmonies and miscellaneous instrumentation. Their genre is best defined as "rock"; however, they draw influence from a wide variety of musical genres. Vantine/Amadio have their fingers on the basic premise of musical appeal: listeners want music that speaks to them through insightful lyrics sung over good, honest music--and that is what they are prepared to give you on their first album.
