The Division is a Powerful Music Trio from Poquoson, Virginia that combines a huge influence from Alternative Rock & Grunge with their own thrashy twist of Metal! The Division has often been refered to as Fun, Full of Energy and Intense Emotion! Blending Metal flavored with influences from Tool, Mudvayne, Rush, and Nirvana! This band is living proof of dedication! And shows that there is nothing that can stop music from reaching the people!

The group formed in 2004, and is comprised of three members: Robert Gernert Vocals & Guitar; Charles Gernert Vocals & Bass Guitar and Keith Gibbs Drums & Percussion. They have shared the stage with National Touring bands such as Diecast, Mobile Deathcamp, Nightshade, Paul Dianno (Iron Maiden), The Suicide Girls, Arcadia Awaits, Killer In The Workplace (Stuck Mojo, Soulfly & Primer 55), Blue Felix, Mindset, Mary Magdalan, Diest Requiem & Blood of The Prophets.

The band has released 2 EPs, 1 Live EP and most recently their first LP titled "Embrace," in 2010 (Which reached them their highest success to date). Embrace offers 9 Ground-Breaking New Tracks! With Pounding Bass, Crunchy Guitar Riffs and Catchy Chorus Hooks that pull you in from the first song to the last! Embrace is a perfect example of Modern Alternative Metal!

In June 2010 The Division acclaimed ultimate success upon signing with Sacrifice Records. And on July 17, 2010 "Embrace" was re-released through sacrifice with slightly altered artwork, making the first 50 pressings Extremely Rare! In September 2010 Embrace was released through the following online digital distributers: iTunes, Amazon, Limewire, Napster, CD Baby, Thumbplay, EMusic, and Medianet.
