Members: The Bunny (vocals/composition) // The Bear (vocals) // Jake (guitar) // Cody (guitar) // Drac (bass) // Matt (drums)
It was only a matter of time until a band came along that constructed a sound of such ingenious proportions invoking the hair-prickling ecstasy that only daringly innovative musicians are able to successfully execute. Bursting out into the scene with a flair for blurring the typically intangible line across genres, Buffalo, New York-based group The Bunny The Bear has abandoned the mindset of commonality by spearheading their interpretation of music into metal-flavored, rock-inspired, electronic mayhem.
Concocting an authentic fusion of volatile rock and atmospheric electronics that evades any sort of genre classification, The Bunny the Bear has caused a remarkable uproar with their pioneering musical movement in the form of their newest release. Composed of vocalists Matt Tybor and Chris Hutka as The Bunny and The Bear, respectively, Jake Andrews and Cody Morse on guitar, Steve Drac on Bass, and Matt Trozzi on drums, the riveting talent of The Bunny The Bear sets a well-pronounced tone for what the band has up their sleeve. The band debuts their first album on Victory Records titled If You Donât Have Anything Nice To Say⦠which is brimming with influences from each corner of the music spectrum. If You Donât Have Anything Nice To Say⦠explodes with wailing guitar riffs and a winning combination of guttural screams and harmonic vocals.
Adding to the extreme nature of their debut are the eye-popping theatrics and intense, assaulting force of energy the band gives off in their live performances. From the dance electronic fans who rave through the night, to the head-banging metalheads who mosh with heart-pounding adrenaline until blood is shed, they each have their own emotional triggers that their respective music inflicts on them. The Bunny the Bear has dug deep beneath the surface of the usual combination of musical elements to unveil an edgy, instantly likeable quality that can only be found in such a masterfully developed strew of songs.
Fresh off of a UK tour with Funeral for a Friend and Escape the Fate, The Bunny The Bear will continue with plans to tour across the U.S. this summer. The release of If You Donât Have Anything To Say... marks the bold introduction of The Bunny The Bear, delving into unmarked territory and rocking the foundation of music.
