The Awakening is Kevin Cassidy, Jerry Nedrow, Joe Votta, Rich Urraro, Jason Bach, Zack Austin. TA brings an intense live performance that will keep you on your feet, with brilliantly catchy choruses, astounding technicality, and talent for finding an exceptional balance between heavy and melodic genres.

The Awakening was formed in February of 2008, Just east of Manhattan on Long Island, New York; six Guys with the same dream, passion, love for Jesus Christ & music. The Awakening released their first E.P, entitled "Understanding Goodbyes", in June of 2008 and shortly after, they left for tour. They toured the east coast with Thieves And Villains (Victory Records). After gaining much credibility and fans, The Awakening decided to disband with no plans to move forward and continue making music. In April of 2009 Jerry Nedrow, Joe Votta decided they wanted to reform The Awakening and make spiritually influenced music with a fresh new line-up. After new additions to the band (Jason, Kevin, Rich, Zack) they have released a handful of demo's and toured during the summer of 2009 with Beneath The Sky (victory records), I Am Abomination (Ferret Records) as well as doing many regional tours.
