Lemoyne duo The Apple Tree Experience – singer/guitarist Brett Trout and percussionist Jake Kelley – write crystalline, acoustic-driven pop songs that belie the fact that they’re only 18 years old, respectively. Inspired by mom-friendly rockers like The Fray, The Kin and Copeland, TATE are like two little Dashboard Confessionals (with all of the charm and pop smarts that implies) after an emo-ectomy. While they’ve only been playing together since November 2008, Trout and Kelley have already signed with an artist agency and recorded their debut album. In July, they begin touring full -time.
