I'm The Alex Taylor Experience. It's a pretty shitty experience to be honest. Well, not horrible, but you know, you'd normally rather be doing something else. Kind of like watching a really bad movie, getting halfway through it, saying "this is shit," then looking at the back of the DVD case to see the running time and discovering it's got another eighty-minutes left or going to the store to buy some Coke, but then once you taste it, you realise you've actually just bought a whole load of Cherry Coke.

Really though, these songs are basically just the result of myself being bored and recording myself on guitar and drums.
I've been playing drums for close to ten-years now, and guitar for about three.

My main influences for drums are Jimmy Chamberlin, Chad Smith and Jeremy Taggert.
My influences for guitar mostly come from Billy Corgan and Jack White.
I sound like a cat with a chainsaw trying to strangle and gut Barry White when I sing, so I don't sing.

The gear I used:

For guitar - I have an Ibanez RG170 "Black Knight" as well as a Sansonic Stratocaster that I occasionally use. Both run through a 100 watt Fender FM212R solid state amp connected to a Digitech RP200A multi-effects processor. In other words I have a load of really mediocre guitar gear.

For drums, I have a Yamaha DTXplorer electronic drumkit. Yay.

I record these through a TASCAM USB recorder, and use Audacity because I'm too cheap to get a real recording program.
