My name is Tarun Krishnan and I started this blog on November, 18, 2010, because I wanted to make music in a way I have never done before. I intend on posting at least 2 songs a week, no matter how incomplete the songs may be. I got the inspiration from a group on Flickr called “Make Something Cool Every Day“
I have been performing since I was in high school as a lead singer for 2 bands, Foco De Atelier and Captain Gallagher and now I feel like stepping out of my comfort zone and trying to expand my musical knowledge in a way I have never done before.
What is the ultimate reason for even doing this?
I have always been avid learner of music, and even though I am not classically trained, my family upbringing has always included an immersion into music. I am going to meet new people, try different styles, and in the end have a substantial body of work that has, in its veins, a sense of integrity and curiosity. Simply put, I have always wanted to make music, but now I want to do so strictly on my own terms. I hope you enjoy the journey as much I as will.
