"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes."
Steven Swift (not born a mistake) is a shape shifting bassist (due to his work across all genres and being found playing for countless bands) who graduated from the University of Wolverhampton and found himself sessioning/Deping/Performing for bands in nearly every genre of music known to humans. Having experience in playing:
Jazz, Metal, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Funk, Soul, Electronic, Indie, Progressive and World.
Based in the West Midlands but travelling all across England, Wales, Scotland and soon to include Europe, Steven has build a reputation of being a "Great player, great guy. Top guy to work with." and having "Great groove and technical ability".
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.â
Fast forward to now and Steven is playing bass for various Cover and Original bands, slowly building his name and reputation further and wider into the outside communities of the West Midlands. Steven is always looking for Session or Dep work regardless of genre or distance but somehow finds the time to record his own original bass compositions (which one day will be available on-line).
