Silence Shall Pass, formed in the summer of 2006. tom betz and chris knott formerly of from dissension decided to start a new project and quickly recruited nick stumpf, formerly of nameless, and newcomer to the scene derrick rivera. with a melodic sound that still manages to make you bang your head til your neck hurts, backed by killer vocals and thundering drums the band is ready to burst onto the music scene. in just four short years we have shared the stage with many great bands and recently joined forces with throdl and the entire bnr family to bring good original music to the area.recently in 2010 we got back together and bassist Josh Smith and guitarist Justin Adams joined the band completing the lineup.


If you combine Lamb Of God,Pantera,Slayer together you get Silence Shall Pass's sound. We are often mistaken for as a metalcore band due to having screamed vocals and breakdowns. Though metalcore has influenced some of the members we do not consider ourselves metalcore, in our books we are metal or "groove metal like Lamb Of God and Pantera. Silence Shall Pass will make you want to bang your head and mosh until you bleed from your nose.
