With such a large audience in the ever-growing fan base of hardcore music, many artists and songs alike get drowned out in the undertow of the fast paced alternative scene. But artists with an intense passion for their music face any challenge they come across to spread their music, no matter how overwhelming, the band Sea Swallowed Us Whole being a perfect example of that.

Forming in 2008, from the first show brought an amazing amount of response and positive feedback, fueling the band to push even further and branch out of their native Utah scene. Shortly after followed a slew of member changes, un-honest promoters, van breakdowns and dead ends, however Sea Swallowed Us Whole has overcome all obstacles with a solid line up of five people that all devote themselves to the art and creation of music, and began the never ending road of touring across the nation, gaining fans and positive recognition from coast to coast and thus solidifying what every member knew in their heart. That nothing could bring them more happiness than a life on the road connecting with new friends and fans at every show, no matter how big or small. Sea Swallowed Us Whole solidified their line up in 2010 and consists of Alfonso (vocals), Jonny (guitar/vocals), Devin (guitar), Andy (bass) and Zac (drums) and with these individuals brought together has never been more strong in their dedication.

The music Sea Swallowed Us Whole writes embodies the full spectrum of human existence, embracing all aspects of success, disappointment, sincerity, aggression, melancholy and borderline insanity. Musically spanning across just as many genres, Sea Swallowed Us Whole incorporates impressive amounts of technicality, hardcore, metal and ambient indie rock all into a seamless stream of passionate sound that shows through completely in their live performance.

In November of 2011 Sea Swallowed Us Whole were fortunate enough to be invited out by Alesana and their management for select dates of the 2011 Rock Yourself To Sleep Tour also featuring A Skylit Drive, Sleeping With Sirens, Attila and Memphis May Fire. The band jumped at the opportunity and pulled together everything needed to make the tour possible for them in less than two weeks. The first show of the tour for them in Pomona, CA was also the release of their newest album, 'I Am Poseidon' and received phenomenal response from the newfound fans and sold 800 physical copies through the first week.

With such a postive embrace of the new album and the large amount of exposure and responce from the Rock Yourself To Sleep Tour, Sea Swallowed Us Whole has never been more driven to push themselves. 2012 will see the band touring non-stop and always expressing the passion and love they have for what they do through every performance.
