Safe Haven Biography 2008
The Boys of the Summer Safe Haven are Back! The La Mirada Rock Quartet are Louder, Stronger, and more Powerful than ever. What was once an escape from the real world led these boys finding their way onto the Music Scene at an early age. The band formed in 2003 with Gil Sandoval(Vocals/Bass), Dan Sandoval(Drums), Mani Sandoval(Lead Guitar), and Josh Ledezma(Guitar) during their first Summer as a band. "I'm constantly reminded that all that really mattered to us was simply playing Music, and that remains the same" Says Mani Sandoval. Time passed as faithful friends continued to support the once garage band who outgrew their own aspirations of performing just one show. With a rapidly growing popularity and audience, recorded music was needed as the band premiered their first album released in 2007.
The Album "Setting Up and Tearing Down" is the Independent Release that has surpassed it's much anticipated release in the U.S. with an ecstatic growing International audience. The Self-Produced Album with long time Friend & Producer Ian Miller ensured a very well-thought collection of anecdote tales of the bands earlier experiences. "We've always thought about creating Music that everyone just had to hear and that searches for the greater being within us all" Says Gil Sandoval. With a Touch of Classic Rock Guitar's, Punk Rock Driven Drums, and Hope powered lyrics, it is the dynamic contagious sound that continues to enter the heart's of thousands of listeners around the world.
With a new direction and rekindled spirit's the Southern California Local's continue to Tour the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and aspiring to expand themselves Internationally. Among the many rough landings, humble beginnings, and cold garage floor stories this mighty independent band has overcome the many limitations of rock stardom. The Boys of the Summer will surely never forget how far they have come and where they are heading to next.
