 Welcome to the Rot Iron Soul website page. We are currently in the progress of getting some recordings. Our new songs will be up here shortly. The demo album Euphoria will be self produced for the time being. Our style is rooted in a experimental fusion type noise band. Our fuse ma tic genres include: alternative, rock, jazz, country, indie, pop, metal, blues. All that and more fused in our original blend of experimental style music.We love to play live and entertain whenever and wherever! We are!  Rot Iron Soul.

A lot of people ask me what does the name Rot Iron Soul mean? Well I tell them iron doesn't rot and nether can the soul. It may rust and a soul may grow bitter but never rot or decay. The soul is a spiritual embodiment of energy covered by our flesh and blood. Our bodies do slowly decay in times   constant fluid like motion of age but a soul I believe goes beyond boundaries of the naked eye's view of perception. Rot Iron Soul comes from the true nature of the heart which is the very center of the soul. The (Rot Iron Soul). We started this band by jamming together on the waterfront mostly just weekends for fun. But we soon realized we had a deep connection and started practice on a scheduled basis to start building the foundation of Rot Iron Soul.

The line-up of Rot Iron Soul is
Greg Steinhoff (aka Mr Twister) on guitar,vocals and all diary entries
Gary Cobb (aka GCobb) on drums, electric washboard and all negotiations during street jams
Doug Hamilton (aka The Engineer) on bass, saxophone. guitars, recording and putting up with Greg and Gary's loudness.

Busking around P-Town and hanging out in the downtown scene regularly is how we meet most our family of friends and fans (dogs seem to dig us too ). The goal for this project is to create a fusion style genre that's totally original with our Rot Iron Soul sound. A sound that is derived in the spirit of artists like Local H, Galactic, Stones, P-Funk, Monet, Prince, Mr.Johnny Cash, Billie Holiday, Green Car Motel, Family Guy, Drums and Tuba, Salvidor Dali, Pelican, combination of all Journey and Bon Jovi break-up songs, Black Sabbath, Explosions in the Sky, Talkdemonic, Neil Young, Michelangelo, Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5, Van Halen, Van Gogh, The Roots, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Radiohead, ALL old school Hee-Haw and Soul Train Shows, the Mighty Zepplin, no one from American Idol, Kyuss, Mother Love Bone, ZZ Top, Peaches and Herb, Pink Floyd, Mr James Marshal Hendrix just to name a few and to graciously thank.
Rot Iron Soul would also like to thank all street performers and buskers for making street corners a little more colorful and giving the youngsters inspiration to become artists. Remember just because we pick up instruments doesn't mean we lay down our democracy. Use music to help change the world into a better place. We will see you out there in the streets.
