1. the sweeping sea

I guess it's like the waves,
this feeling that will change.
Its swells that held me in her arms,
within the shroud of night.

I guess it's like the wind
this feeling that she's in.
It grows and flows but I don't know
where it's blowin' in.

I guess it's like the sands
these feelings as they stand
they brush and touch so softly round
my slowly agin' skin.

2. shamal

When you awake in the depths of the ocean,
Tread on the tide that will roll unto shore.

When desert floods by the footsteps around you,
Look to the stars and they'll follow you home.

3. myna.magpie

On my drawer desk's a broken piece of glass,
Marred by bitter love I'd let to pass.
When I brush the dust I see my scar still there,
Through the reflection of this glass so bare.

And in my reverie the skyline bleeds green,
It marks her toneless eyes so naturally.
I chased the light and saw my scar right there,
Through the reflection of her jasper stare.

4. le petit prince

She is just a flower, oh, a pretty one.
Her poise as if a tower has fallen now he's gone.

"Don't you leave, I pray"
The snapdragon solemnly spake
"Until our yesterdays
Smile upon my face."

as the prince he turned away.

The prince is but a human inclined to his desire.
With space abound and looming, and sun in brilliant fire.

"Don't you weep for me!"
The Prince did strongly say
"For I'll be back again
To smile upon your face"

and the flower her heart sank.

5. ras tanura / a passage

So where did time go?
These dead streets now erode
Winds stir the ghosts of my home.

Keep me home
Leave me home
Let me walk these fading roads.
Please don't go
I'll stay home
Let me be where I belong.

And though winds come and go
My feet sink far below
Stray breezes flow right to my home.
