Painting:Roses has been many things over the past year. First a solo project of Suvan Sterling, then a duo with pianist Jaycob Coleman until it finally became a full four piece band. Disappointingly the distance between band members (they lived in two towns roughly 100 miles away from each other) made writing and playing music with this new lineup nearly impossible. The band went on hiatus for about six months but is now back, but as a duo.
