Oath of the Black Soul is an independent Cebuano Metal band formed on December 16, 2007 originally known as "Distorted Microphones" and decided to change their name later in 2008. As a band, they've been influence with bands such as DEFTONES, DRY KILL LOGIC, CHIMAIRA, HATEBREED, FUEL, NIRVANA. The band consists of Ajel "Jox" Jimenez on Vocals and Keyboards, Roy Vega on Guitars, Bass and Programming, Gwen Cañete on Bass and JM Martirez on Drums. Some critics sited them as one of the best performers on stage that their anger strikes within their veins through metal music. Oath of the Black Soul is the band dedicated to Underground Metal Music Scene and extremely give their best just to make the crowd jam on stage. Even if there are conflict with their families, time and not all people can adopt their music, still they ought to live and survive just for the love of music. Some people says these freaks are waisting time and money but this is who they are independent band with pure heart through the shadows they hide from sorrow that blinds their eye... Oath of the Black Soul Rules...
