Decorating the Nursery - The planet is More Than Blue and Pink

blog post

Congratulations. You merely found out you're developing a boy. So you will paint the nursery blue and fill it up with nursery prints in young lad themes. If the sonogram informs you it's a girl, pink is in order and so are hearts and flowers and girly ruffles. You'll find nothing wrong with the traditional nursery. Many people grew up in them plus they served us well.nursery wall decals

The good news is that we know in advance the gender in our children, we have enough time, if not the money, to make their rooms fantastic. It won't really take a fortune; all it takes is a little imagination. Take a look at the rest of your home. What colors have you chosen for the rooms your home is in? If your walls are white, well, shame for you. Where's your a feeling of adventure. Maybe it's your kids who will lead just how. Pick a color you want - mint green - mango - raspberry sorbet. All of these would look great around the walls and paint stores will likely be happy to mix the colour of your choice. If the idea of an unusual color terrifies you, keep in mind, it's only paint. If you absolutely hate it, you'll be able to paint it all over again - or rather your husband can do it. Besides, it'll keep him occupied during those previous couple of weeks when all you need is some peace and quiet. nursery prints

There's still a great deal to be said for white baby furniture. In the end, a white crib might be dressed up with colorful crib sheets and bumper pads. And crisp white can look awesome against those beautifully painted walls. The selection of sheets and pillows and bumper pads and changing table pads are unlimited. Go on the internet and just browse. Simply what does your family like to do? Have you been a family of bike riders? Hikers? Sailors? There will be something to suit every kind of recreation in the sale of nursery linens.

What about the walls. Why don't you consider a piece of art depicting boats? Yes, I said art. Who asserted art is only for grownups. Art and art photography are actually affordable, thanks again to the net. Instead of a lame illustration, select a bold sailing photo or possibly a beautifully painted seascape. Inside a white frame to contrast together with the mint green or raspberry sorbet walls, that painting or photograph will light the room.

If you really want animals for the walls from the nursery, great. Find some beautifully painted or photographed animals and frame those prints to offer your child a check out nature. Realistic paintings or photographs stimulate the senses and that we know babies reap the benefits of stimulation.

Whatever you choose for the baby's room, remember that babies grow into toddlers all too soon. A space that's decorated for a kid, rather than just a baby, is less likely to need redecorating 12 months or two down the road. And that's a good thing because what you don't want to hear from your three-year-old is "Mommy, I'd like a big boy room." Make his nursery a room he can enjoy for years and everyone will be happy.
