Nothing Personal is a rock band from Rockland County, NY. Currently consisting of founding members Anthony J. Mauro (vocals/guitar/synth/other), and Brian McNiff (vocals/guitar/mandolin/other); as well as Myles Weinfeld (bass), and Cameron Romano (drums). The band started as a jam band and recording demos on GarageBand between the years 2010 and 2012, including the 2012 demo 'My Encounter with a Japanese Leprechaun' which featured the song "Better Than This" that reached #67 on PureVolume's Top 150 songs. In spring 2013, the band spent several sessions at SUNY Rockland's recording studio working on their "debut studio album" which was to be produced by Myles. They released a promotional single "Hearts Break When Exposed to Plastic" which reached #29 on PureVolume and the first official single "Transparent" which reached #19. After shooting the video to Transparent, director Michael Adams suggested they re-recorded the song with producer Eric DiCarlo to give it a better quality sound. They did a test run through with Eric. Being pleased with the way it came out, they decided to scrap what they recorded in the spring and start over. The new release of Transparent premiered on Rockland World Radio October 14, 2013 and was released later that month. They will do a promo EP before they release a full length. The music video is set to be released Fall 2013.
