Michel Sanchez is a French musician born on 1 July 1957 Somain (North).
He began studying music at the age of 4 years learning the accordion, with an excellent teacher, Mr. D’Alberto, who teaches jazz. At the age of 15 in 1972, he entered the Conservatoire de Douai, where he studied liturgical organ, piano and percussion.
5 years later, he entered the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris in class and studying organ with Rolande Falcinelli.
Although immersed in a classical world, he discovers that traditional music: Africa first of all, with its great diversity of styles and instruments, but also India, Eastern Europe, America South, etc …

He spent three years at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, then back north in 1980, where he worked in recording studios as composer-arranger, serving varied musical backgrounds.
From that moment, he invests heavily in electronic synthesizers have found in the extraordinary richness of sound he was looking for already in the classical organ.
This passion for the sounds never leave. In the 1980s, only one thing matters to him develop his own musical language, inspired by his mentors:
The great jazz musicians such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Jan Hammer, Joe Zawinul.
In the early 1990s, when Michel Sanchez is listening to a melody reported Eric Mouquet Solomon Islands – today “Sweet Lullaby”, the biggest hit of Deep Forest – mixed with modern synth sounds, it is a revelation.
