My name is Michael Ballinger. I was born in Chicago Illinois and have lived in the suburbs of that city most of my life. I've been playing music since i was about 8 years old. I've been writing since 14.
Some of my influences are Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Avett Brothers, The Pixies, Nirvana, Chiodos, Craig Owens, Rule 22, The Revision Plan, Molly Robison, Daniel Johnston, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, The Mountain Goats, Carl Hauck, Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos, and many more.
