We are Mezzia, a band that wing Pop / Rock originating from Indonesia exactly in Jakarta. The name Mezzia itself comes from an idea derived from Abby. And the name Mezzia does not imply anything but for us represents A Strength Of A Strong Women. Mezzia was formed in mid-2008 the exact date of May 17. At the beginning of the formation of this band we started playing music like Screamo / Rock, but Mezzia want to show the female vocal character in a band. Our influence at the time was bands like In This Moment, Fireflight, Less Than Famous, etc. For the first formation of Mezzia consist Dhilla on vocal, Abby on guitar, Wibie on guitar, Dhica on bass and Andika on drum. As time goes by we were experiencing many changes like Wibie crate out on guitar, but we still live band project although only four of us. We also have a record by participating in music events non-stop 74 hours held by MURI in Atmajaya University. A few months later our vocalist Dhilla out from Mezzia because of a discrepancy in the mission. After that we were vacuum for a long time. At the end of April 2009 Mezzia went back to reshape with significant changes, first change the Mezzia in Screamo / Rock to Pop / Rock thought it would be able to promote Mezzia band itself. Re overhaul followed the old personnel with new personnel, but still entrust Andika as a drummer. Abby and Andika agree to seek new personnel and put Cindy on vocals. Then Abby took his brother Indra (Archangel) to replace Dhica on bass, then add the guitar Erland (Archangel). For more variation music Mezzia, Abby and Andika agree to add Visco on violin. In the middle we have a problem with our vocalist Cindy who prefer to retreat to focus on her study. Therefore we must move quickly to fill vacancies on vocals, and finally we choose Mildha to replace Cindy. And in the end Abby was firmly set Mildha, Andika, Indra, and Erland as personnel of Mezzia until now, althought we all have different basic but we hope Mezzia gives new colors to the music industry in Indonesia. And we hope we can reach to the level of the International of course with our hard work, support and prayers of the family and Mezzia Monsters throughout Indonesia.
