Members: Matt Chesley
In 2000, I joined my first band, Exit 89, in Clarkston, MI. We had a four run as a relatively popular hard rock band. In 2004, I recorded my first solo studio EP. In 2005, backed by that EP, I formed Silverland. Silverland released "The Rising EP" before changing our name to Turning Autumn. In 2007, Turning Autumn broke up. A month later, I joined Turning Autumn drummer, Trevor Bozeman, for a pop/punk group called He Cried Wolf. While only playing three shows in 2 years, HCW gained a large following in the midwest before breaking up in 2009.
Since then, I've been making music in my home. It began as electronic/hip hop under the moniker The Random Hook Up. In 2010, I had major throat surgery and it has been a long road to recovery. In October 2010, I attempted recording a couple rock songs, but my voice was not where it should have been.
In 2012, I began writing and recording my debut full length rock album. In April 2012, I played my first solo show since January 2010, opening for Art Alexakis of Everclear at the Hard Rock Cafe Detroit. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Stay tuned and tell your friends.
