The seeds of MAKAYLA DAWN were first sown in 1993, when Mike and John met. They played together in a succession of bands,until they reached the current lineup, which is now known as MAKAYLA DAWN. This was solidified in 2002, when Tim joined on drums.

The band went on to play anywhere, for anyone, that was willing to have them. This led to invitations to open for many national acts, which in 2005 then led to a recording contract on the west coast. Unfortunately, the label folded, and due to unforeseen circumstances brought about a four year hiatus. But the story was just beginning....

Knowing that they still had unfinished business to tend to, along with the undying need to perform live again, the band reformed in 2009 with a new drummer. After a few false starts, it was clear that they needed to contact Tim. After one rehearsal, it was just like they were never apart.

Soon after, the cat was let out of the bag, calls and emails started pouring in anticipating their return to the stage. Since then, they have been back in full force, playing all over North East Ohio, and Western PA, with goals to hit as many other markets as possible. The future is bright and there is no end in sight.
