Lindsay Caroline Smith was born in Yorkshire, 1992, moving to the midlands nine years later. Her first pet was a giant rabbit called Daisy Mae, and so she sings under Lindsay Mae. For her sixteenth birthday, her friends bought her a session at a recording studio, where the album reckless was produced. Two of the songs she had written were produced, 'young fools' and 'sound of summer' - which was written for the leavers of that summer, and she sung covers of many other songs including KT Tunstall, Anna Nalcik, Duffy and Lucie Silvas (to which they hold all copyright ;)
Having sung in New York, Paris, and in England at School and in halls, Lindsay hopes to be gigging with her guitar teacher this summer in local venues. Lindsay has been part of a rock band and a duet, but produced reckless alone.
Lindsay is currently studying for her GCSEs and will stay on at school to do A-Levels, but will continue to sing and write songs.
