Like Clockwork frontman, Jesse Owen Astin, has had career that is similar to time; always moving; never stopping. With a list of credentials that ranges from touring with such bands as Sevendust, Lifehouse, and Oleander, to recording and producing several Like Clockwork albums, including A Cross in the Ground and Kill the Word, the poetic soul and relentlessness that embodies Jesse Astin parallels his art.

Even though he has always lived life to its fullest, Jesse's initial passion was baseball. At the age of 10, his dreams of becoming an all-star pitcher came to a halt after a serious arm injury. It was this incident that served as a catalyst for Astin to notice a guitar that had been "eying him" from the corner of his room. With a guitar in one hand and a cast in the other, a journey began.

After playing in several bands throughout high school as a guitarist, Astin realized that his talents were not limited to just one instrument, thus he began singing, learning other instruments, and producing his own records. It was during this period that Astin developed his earliest Like Clockwork albums. At age 19, Astin joined the band Travisty Theory in the role of lead guitarist, and was given the chance to tour across the United States. During and after his stint with Travisty Theory, Astin produced three Like Clockwork records, including Like Clockwork's best-selling album to date, Placing a Future in My Life, a record that gained Like Clockwork a respectable amount of notoriety and critical acclaim.

2008, in typical Like Clockwork fashion, proved to be an active year for Astin. Earlier in the year, Astin released All Signs Point To Yes, a record that displayed a more raw, live feel than his previous work. Astin also inked a publishing deal with Check Your Pulse / Downtown Publishing. Upon doing this, Astin has worked in various capacities on projects for major label artists such as Miley Cyrus, Cash Cash, Kerli, Selena Gomez, Tyler Hilton, Dukes of Daville, Forever the Sickest Kids, and Kylee Saunders.

Like Clockwork's latest single, "Oh My God!" was released in August, 2008, and will be featured on Like Clockwork's upcoming record, These Are All Things, which will possess the style of music Astin composed for his earliest records. With 2009 underway, the horizon is full of promise for Jesse Owen Astin. To quote the man behind the Like Clockwork curtain, "I've always felt like my place in the universe was going to be a big one."
