Inner Animals 3/26/10
Since its formation, Karate Coyote has achieved what publications have described as a "quick rise". Their first release, the Move E.P., was met with rave reviews and was awarded "Best Debut of 2008" from Columbus Alive Newspaper. One writer described their sound as a Los Campesinos energy mixed with Radiohead-style climaxes.
Above all, multi-genre Karate Coyote engages its audience and makes people dance.
In less than a year's time, Karate Coyote has made a tremendous impact on the Central Ohio music scene. They are the only local act to land a single, So Far So Good, on CD101FM, that was for weeks the most requested song, and went on to earn 17th place in CD101FM's top 101 of 2009 in front singles by king's of leon, death cab for cutie, muse and the yeah yeah yeahs . Additionally, KC has won crowds over in venues from D.C. to Pittsburgh to Indianapolis, resulting in impressive I-tunes downloads and merchandise sales. Karate Coyote's highly anticipated debut record will showcase the band like never before as they balance touring, radio attention and a rapidly growing fan base.
