About the Songs:
"You Raise Me Up" - When Josh Groban first released this song, my Mom suggested that I sing it for something because she loved it so much, but I never really took action even though I loved it, too. Years later, I came back to the idea upon hearing Korean pop star, Lena Park's, version of the same song. Written for her by the original writers, Rolf Lovland and Brendan Graham, plus the addition of Kei Sugawara for the Japanese lyrics, I saw it in a brand new light and subsequently had to give it a shot. Lena Park covers the song in both Japanese and English, and while both are incredibly poetic and gorgeous, I chose to stick with the English version. Hopefully Mom is happy now!

"Eternal Snow" - Some people might be surprised to find a Japanese cover on here, so to make a long story short, international singing is one of my life goals. Luckily, one of my favorite foreign languages comes from a country that produces some of the best artists and music in the world. Not convinced yet? Listen to Takanori Nishikawa of both T.M. Revolution and abingdon boys school, pop singer Utada Hikaru, or anything written by Japanese composer, Yuki Kajiura. J-pop is a very different style compared to American pop, but I have always enjoyed the contrast. "Eternal Snow" was a song I discovered years ago. It was originally performed by the group Changin' My Life and was featured in the television series "Full Moon wo Sagashite." This song suggests a lot musically and lyrically about a person's deep love and yearning - I hope you find it as beautiful and haunting as I do. Please enjoy the translation below!
