For the past year, Her Last Regrets has been striving to create original music and deliver it to the world. Their sound is almost indescribeable as they successfully mix melodic metalcore with the catchy two-steps and the heavy breakdowns of hardcore.
This six member machine is made up of talented musicians that each bring their own influences to the table. On vocals, Jesse reaches exceptional ranges such as screaching highs and ground shaking deeps. On guitar, Anthony and Trevor explore the dynamics of the instrument by writing riffs that range from thrashy death metal riffs, to technical breakdowns, to melodic leads. Lastly, as the backbone of the band, Josh and TJ set the standard for HLR and bring the bass and heavy tones that are needed to create this sound. Josh gives bass a new level of complexity, almost like having a third guitar player. TJ incorporates all forms of music into his drumming giving the band a diverse sound.
Keep a close eye on HLR because you never know what they will do next. Also stay tuned for their soon to be released EP Homicide Drive. It is a great example of how HLR has defined their sound over the time they’ve been around. Songs like Evolution, Bloodshot Skies, and Abandonment Part One: The Hollow Laugh are examples of HLR in the beginning.
