It all began like most band stories that were ever told. From the same circle of band gangs in Jakarta, three chaps met up with a lass, who has the same urge and idealism within their musical way of life. Rebecca, Alex, Dee Dee and Harry are the members of the band that will BITE the ears and heart of music spectators.

BITE is no newbie in the local music scene. Rebecca (Vocalist) herself was once the backup singer from local indie bands with different genres, such as Rumah Sakit, Straight Out, The Upstairs and Goodnight Electric. Meanwhile Alex (bassist), Dee Dee (quitarist) and Harry (drummer) are still in an active Post Hardcore band called Fall. Harry also plays drum for another band called Accidental Hero.


Their story continues in early May 2008. The foursome joined forces to bridge their various musical flairs in order to reach the aimed musical existence. With various loud music genres in their belt, BITE tried to dig up some Pop-ish kind of materials for their own repertoire. Finally, a light and lively kind of sound whisked with sharp lyrics that doesn't have to be always about love, was agreed to be their character.


While digging up their material, Firecatz Records (a local music label) offered them to throw in some tracks for a local movie soundtrack called "Married by Accident". Eventually three tracks were picked up. Satisfied with the tracks, BITE added three more, which resulted a self-titled EP. Supported by Firecatz Records the self-titled EP was launched in mid-June 2009.

1. Menulis Lagu Cinta (Writing A Love Song)
It's truly excruciating to write lyrics for a love song that is un-cheesy, honest yet touchy. Torn between the negative crazy weather, un-easy news, environmental issues and the positive teachings from Music Gurus, the Beatles, Menulis Lagu Cinta was born.

2. Populer (Popular)
This track is about the current obsession for being popular. All the ridiculous thoughts, efforts and strategies pulled of by today's celebrities in becoming popular.

3. Hanya Trend Semata (For The Trend Only)
Being a Poser is the latest phenomenon faced by Today's youth. For the sake of being cool, they use attributes to identify themselves with bands or idealism they don't even listen or understand. In the eyes for those who aren't ignorant, what these youngsters do is a complete nonsense.


4. Tiba-Tiba Hamil (Unexpectedly With Child)
Passionate love is often misunderstood, blinded by the passion; love can lead to un-safe sex. A future filled shattered ideas and regret is the consequence when the safe sex route was not taken.

5. Semua Suka Wanita Cantik (EverybodyLovesLovelyLadies)
Honeslty, who doesn't love lovely ladies? This track is a response to those who speaks highly about inner beauty being the foundation of all. When in fact physical outer being is the first main thing that truly attracts them.

6. Hey Hey Hey
As the only English Track in the EP, hopefully this track will be able to bridge the language barrier. It's about one group's Wednesday night Routine after work hours.
