A collection of musicians that already have their own projects get together to record and jam, be stupid and have fun and write music that's out of their normal box. Guardpin has only ever performed live once (maybe twice) at the annual Newport Festival held labor day weekend in Newport, VA (west of Blacksburg).
Hundreds of songs have been written and recorded over the few years that Guardpin has gathered in The Space Cabin and Space Shack Studios, in the mountains of VA, centered between Christiansburg, Blacksburg & Radford. A double release late in 2010 and early 2011 of some 28 songs will be called The International Compendium of Ridiculous Songs I & II, aka: the Fatal Erection cd.
