Gracieâs early teenage demeanor was quiet, but she wanted nothing more than to perform. At the local âIdolâ competition she met Bruce Pooley, creator, owner, and operator of The Next Stage, a performance workshop for young kids and teens.
Gracie J soon moved on to more public performances. At 14, she sang for a crowd of hundreds in Fruitport, MI, opening for her fatherâs band, Bo White and the Bluezers, at the annual Fruitport Festival. The crowd was amazed at both her full sound and young age! The songwriting rapidly continued. By age 15, Gracie J had written as many songs as her years. And her performances continued to grow. Some of these locations include:
Fruitport Festival
Howard City Music in the Park
JB Memorial Concert
Tamarack Camps
Farmington Music in the Park
Farmington Idol
First Cup Organic Grind
Komen Detroit Race for the Cure
North Farmington High School Coffee House
NF Live
The list continues. At age 16, Gracie continues to perform, broadening her experiences into musical theatre. Her first High School musical granted her a lead role in âChildren of Edenâ, a beautiful, fun story of the beginning of the world, according to the Bible.
Gracie looks forward to continue growing, learning, and experiencing all the musical opportunities she can. âI want to share my music with anyone who would like to share it with me.â, says Gracie. âI want to share my love for music with the world.â
