Get The Gig Booking is a new to the scene band booking agency which takes a unique approach to the booking process. Our goal is to help unsigned bands and artists play in front of as many people as possible. Every aspect of the company is built around this goal, from our submission process to our pricing structure. Please take a moment to completely review our page before contacting us, as almost all the questions you may have are answered on here. If you feel we would be good fit for your booking needs, please send us a submission kit today!

THE BAD STUFF FIRST, THE THINGS WE DO NOT DO:

1. We are very specific in the genres we will work with. This helps us both establish solid work relationships with venues across the country because they will trust us not to them acts they would not be interested and helps us network with likeminded artists and bands across the country. That being said, we do not work in any way with the following genres: rap, hip-hop, R&B, metal (in any form), any genre with the word "core" in it, and jazz. The easiest way to explain what we work with would be turn on the local rock radio station and if you think you would fit on their, VH1 or CMT, we would be interested in working with you.

2. Absolutely positively under no circumstances do we push the venue for a guarantee in any way. With the economy the way it is right now, most venue booking managers will not even return your email or phone call if your inquiry has a guarantee request in it. We also feel that a guarantee make bands and artists lazy and keeps you from fully pushing to get people out to your event. You bring in good crowds to a venue, and they will be calling us wanting you back.

3. We are a booking agency, not a promotions agency. We will do all we can to promote your shows, but our main goal and concentration is to find you as many shows as you are willing to play. This means are total focus for you as an artist goes into booking your shows. You are responsible for getting people through the door.

We don't mean for the above to sound harsh, but we believe in being totally upfront with what you should expect from us when we work together, which brings us to:

WHY SHOULD YOU HIRE US?

One thing bands and artists fail to realize is that you are running a business. Yes, being in a band is cool and fun, but it is also hard work. From writing and recording, to meet and greats and in stores, it takes not only hard work and money, but time to be successful.

We want to help ease some of the burden on your business. By having Get The Gig Booking handle your booking needs, you can better focus and manage the aspects of your band which may be being overlooked. Think about how much time you spend on the phone with venues. How much time you spend researching tour routing and finding venues to go on into that routing. How much time you spend trying to find locals to go on a show with you.

Now think how nice it would be to be able to take all that time and devote it to marketing or writing and recording. That is what Get The Gig can help you do for a very minimal cost.

THE BIG QUESTION, HOW MUCH?

When forming Get The Gig Booking, we kicked around all kinds of ideas on pricing structure. Everything from a percentage based model to a flat yearly fee and all variances in between. What we came up with and decided on was a fair and balanced way for anyone to afford our service. You control how little or how much you want to use us, and you control how much you want to spend. All of our pricing is "up front", meaning payment is made before any booking is done. We have set it up this way because we want to make sure you are committed to touring and playing.

Now, that being said, we feel are pricing structure is very reasonable compared to other companies. What we have come up with if you as a band buy your booking in blocks. The more shows your purchase from us at one time, the more you save. Each block you purchase is good for one year from the date of purchase.

10 shows = $50.00

20 shows = $75.00

30 shows = $100.00

We will keep track of how many shows we have booked for you and let you know when your bank of shows is getting low. You can replenish at any level any time you want. Just keep in mind, once your bank hits zero, we will stop booking until you have purchased more shows. This means if we are in the middle of booking a tour for you have bought a block of 10 shows, but the tour is for 15 dates, only the first ten confirmed dates will be good, and we will not book the other 5 until you have purchased more shows.

We feel this pricing structure will help you control your spending costs, and get some cash flow coming into the band as your touring starts.

All payments are made through PayPal only (use email address: bookinggetthegig@gmail.com).

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

Once we receive your submission kit and respond back that we would like to work with you, together we will work out a proper tour strategy for your group. It does not matter if you just want to stay local or want to do a nationwide tour, we will not begin booking shows until we have a firm commitment from the band what dates you can and cannot play. WE DO NOT CANCEL SHOWS, so be completely honest on when you will be available.

Once payment has been received, it normally takes about 1 month for the first confirmed booking to come in. Be patient. Some venues book 3-4 months in advance, and require us to line up local support before they will confirm your show.

Once your show is booked, we will send you all the information you will need to promote it, including the names and websites of the other bands on the bill, venue address and website, ticket pricing and age restrictions.
