Artistry in its highest form, Gavin is set out to establish himself in the music scene and test the boundaries of pop music. Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Gavin began making music in the 7th grade, after a class project unveiled his latent musical talents. A child of the early 90's, he took inspiration from all genres of music. While attending college at the University of Illinois, Gavin released a hip-hop album and performed at parties throughout the midwest. In his junior year, Gavin took a leap of faith and left college to move to Nashville, Tennessee and establish an electronic group named Gifted. An online remix competition put on by Gifted turned into a twist of fate, linking Gavin with his now producer, Javier Fusco. A brutally honest Javier saw the great potential of Gavin but a lack of connection in the production and offered a solution that became an awe-inspiring collaboration. In August of 2009, Gavin moved to New York City to work with Javier, releasing their first single "Stuck In My Head" in late 2009. The song quickly made waves on the blog scene and peaked the interest of top music executives by early 2010.
At twenty-one years old, Gavin was finally moving in the right direction. While contemplating the idea of pursuing a modeling career, the overwhelming positive reaction to his music and synergy with Javier pressed him forward towards establishing his musical ingenuity. Now set to release an EP in summer of 2010, Gavin is ready to reshape the way we think of pop music.
