Freddy'Loco is a lucky guy... He had the luck to have a trumpet player as a grand father who told him since his earliest age how to rock the instrument... And also the luck to be a professional boxer and to build himself the never giving up kind of mind.
Because of course Freddy'Loco & His Gordo's Ska Band never give up. And when Kevin « KB » Batchelor from The Skatalites ask him for the first time in 2002 to go on stage and play with his band... it's not about luck anymore but about vocation and talent indeed !

In 2003, with Gontran at the bass, Laurent behind the drums and a singer friend, Freddy forms « Magwalé Freedom » and writes reggae, ska, rocksteady and afro beat songs. The album « Arrêtez Vos Machines » is released in 2004.

After playing more than a hundred concert into every single last venue in Belgium and Northern France, Freddy, Gontran and Laurent decide to form Freddy'Loco & His Gordo's Ska Band and to entirely focus on traditional ska. Nicolas Léonard from The Moon Invaders becomes his Artistic Director and the album « Taba » mixed by Sidney Mills (Steel Pulse) in New York, is released September 12th 2007. Kevin Batchelor (The Skatalites) is featured on a few tracks.

In 2008, with more than 50 concerts done in all Benelux. Freddy'Loco then share the scene with the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, The Skatalites, Kevin Batchelor, Cedric Brooks, Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, N'toumos, Mister T-bone, Tryo, The Carolorégians, Saule et les pleureurs...

In 2009, the adventure keeps going on ! More and more gigs and 3 tours featuring major ska artists as Rock Steady Freddie from the NYSJE and Mister T-bone himself. Freddy'Loco also participate to many festivals such as Dour, Irie vibes, Août en éclas, Natura Rock, Arc en musique, le Mâts noir, Rixenska,... And to end the year, a brand new EP untitled "Satellites" is released on the prestigious label Megalith Records. 16 original tracks recorded at Freddy's studio with the participation of Rock Steady Freddie (NYSJE), Cedric Brooks (The Wailers, The Skatalites...) and everything mixed by the awesome Victor Rice in Brazil !
Meanwhile, Freddy also appears on the 30 years anniversary compilation of the famous band Madness (Big 8 records).

Of course the band is working on it's 4th album. But in the mean time, you're welcome to see Freddy'Loco & His Gordo's Ska Band on stage for what it's really worth.
